The George Washington University and the League of Women Voters DC have partnered to host a public candidates forum for the upcoming 2022 Washington, D.C. Mayoral elections. GW and the League of Women Voters DC, both nonpartisan entities, encourage informed and active participation in democracy through education and advocacy. This forum will educate the public, answer their questions and be used to stimulate and increase voter interest and participation in the election. Candidates will answer predetermined questions covering an array of topics important to and solicited from District voters.
Cheryl W. Thompson, NPR Investigative correspondent and senior editor for investigations and GW associate professor of media and public affairs, will moderate the forum.
COVID-19 Protocols
Please note, per GW COVID-19 protocols, visitors need to attest to being fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination at the door in order to access the event. A mask is required at all times inside the auditorium.
If a visitor is unable to present their proof of vaccination, they must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 24 hours or they are not permitted to access university facilities.
