Role Summary: This team member provides general maintenance to the credit union’s facilities and grounds. Responsible for ensuring credit union buildings and properties are clean (free of debris) and safe. What You Will Be Doing: Perform daily general maintenance duties including moving boxes, supplies and equipment. Perform routine preventative maintenance, to include picking up trash and general cleaning up around facilities. Operate a motor vehicle for the purpose of transporting one’s self to and from different facilities, supplies/materials, mail, and tools as required between facilities. Maintain primary storage areas; transport boxes and supplies from storage area to credit union branches and departments. Process interoffice mail and parcels securely and within prescribed timeframes. Ensure that all credit union properties are free of hazardous conditions and perform inspections as required by supervisor to insure compliance with Gesa policy and procedures. Solid understanding of structural elements, basic electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, to include diagnostic procedures as requires to fully maintain each facility assigned. Assist and supervise outside vendors and contractors ensuring that the credit unions best interests are maintained. Keep supervisor advised of status of all major projects as well as concerns. Display mutual respect, trust and dignity, acting in the best interest of the credit union. Lead by example by displaying proven work ethics and integrity at all times. Control risk and manage operations in a safe and sound manner. Maintain awareness of regulations related to maintenance duties and responsibilities. Complete all daily tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and integrity. Follow all guidelines and policies for physical and cybersecurity. Consistently displaying respect for all areas of diversity and levels of knowledge. Must understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities. Qualifications/ About You: Possess and maintain a detailed knowledge of maintenance required to sustain credit union facilities. Work indoors in a professional atmosphere. Work outdoors in inclement weather conditions to include extreme temperatures both hot and cold. Understanding and working knowledge of blueprints and electrical schematics. Skilled in basic carpentry. Solid understanding of hand tools to include hammers, saws, pliers, cutters and levels. Basic knowledge and skills with electrical equipment to include testers and power tools. Skilled in one or more of these areas; painting, electrical or HVAC maintenance. Valid driver’s license and the ability to fuel, check fluids and maintain a clean vehicle. Work well in a team environment. Be computer literate with a solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and daily tracking of time sheets. Respect and value diversity. What You Will Need: High School diploma or equivalent. One to five years of related experience or equivalent education and experience. Experience with standard building maintenance. Demonstrate and sustain interpersonal skills to relate effectively and professionally to members, the public, and colleagues. Some travel will be required to fulfill duties and responsibilities.
