We are making music to save the planet Concert promoter Earthwise Productions of Palo Alto is a spin-off of Earth Day at Stanford of 1993 so it is natural to be hosting an Earth Day event, a free concert at the Mitchell Park Bowl. With Matt The Electrician and MC Lars, co-headliners. This concert is bio-regional in that both headliners are from the Central Coast; in fact they are both from Pacific Grove, CA near Monterey, although one is based in Austin and the other is based in New York. When Matt The Electrician played an Earthwise show at the Cubberley Community Center in fall, 2019 he told a story about first meeting the younger musician MC Lars, which prompted Mark Weiss the promoter to send an email to Lars which was answered in real time while Matt was on stage; So you could also say it evolved organically that the two men appear consecutively at an Earth Day event in Mitchell Park, Palo Alto three years later.
