Job description As a member of the Exxel TEAM, the Civil Site Laborer / Pipe Layer performs various physical tasks on construction jobsites in support of the overall project. This includes extensive physical activity including preparing jobsites for utility work, carrying supplies, mass excavation, footing preparation, and any number of additional tasks that the jobsite requires. Essential Functions • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders and other tools as directed by management. • Dig out trenches and level trenches for pipe installation. • Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches. • Shovel materials to and from construction areas, including asphalt and dirt. • Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management. • Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment. • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Job Requirements • Have basic working knowledge of power tools and equipment • Have working knowledge of various construction materials • Ability to operate or be trained to operate a scissor lift, self-propelled aerial platform lift, and a reach forklift • Experience working in construction is preferred.
