JOB DESCRIPTION: Opportunity with a locally owned Property Management Company located in downtown Bellingham! Daylight Properties is seeking a passionate and energetic person to join our team as a janitorial staff member to take care of our historic buildings. This position is an integral part of our daily operations and we are looking to hire immediately! This is a full-time position that performs all aspects of janitorial duties and additional duties as assigned. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Picking up and removing trash Sweeping and mopping floors Vacuuming carpeted areas Cleaning glass, chrome fixtures, metalwork, and woodwork Cleans corridors, doors, walls and elevators Cleaning and disinfecting bathroom sinks, toilet bowls, urinals, stalls, and floors Dusts furniture, equipment, and other surfaces Empties trash bins Solve custodial related problems identified by tenants in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner Documents all work requests from tenant representative(s) Ensuring security of assigned buildings, keys, supplies, and equipment Maintaining satisfactory standards of professional conduct and appearance. Ensuring high level of customer service by solving problems raised by the tenant Immediately informing Business Manager of tenant and employee relations issues. Efficiently utilizing time to ensure all required deadlines are met PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Consistently lift and carry 15 - 45 lbs and up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis Standing an estimated 90% and sitting an estimated 10% of the time EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS: Commercial janitorial experience preferred Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Well-organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy Excellent customer service skills Be able to work as an integral member of a team Trustworthy with an outstanding reputation of integrity and confidentiality Must have valid ID and be able to pass a background check WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 8 hour day shift If you meet the qualifications, please respond with a resume and cover letter.
