Juneteenth Muncie presents Representation Matters! Phase II: I AM Project (K-12 students) Are you a K-12 student in Muncie, Delaware County, IN? If so, you are invited to participate in Representation Matters: Phase II-I AM Project, a “future story” photoshoot where you will have the chance to dress as “who you want to be when you grow up”. The Juneteenth Representation Matters committee will assist with uniforms and professional dress-up options, if needed. In addition to the photo shoot, all participating youth will sign the I AM pledge that will be signed and presented to the youth during the Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 18th. (Juneteenth attendance is not required) Photoshoot dates and times will be scheduled a minimum of 1 week in advanceAll photos will be framed and labeled with the youth’s professional title 14 photos will be chosen for Juneteenth Calendar Photos will be unveiled during the Juneteenth Representation Matters Exposition, on Friday, June 10th, at Ivy Tech. (All youth, their families and sponsors will be invited to attend) Additionally, framed photos will be on display at the Representation Matters booth during Juneteenth Muncie Celebration and can be picked up by participants after 6 p.m. Students who participate in the I AM Project will be invited to participate in the Juneteenth Muncie essay contest, What Juneteenth Means To Me. Details will be provided during the end of the photo session. Space is limited, register today! Representation Matters is presented in two phases.
