Join Certified Sommelier Joshua Voytek as we explore one of the oldest New World wine regions of South Africa. This nation has had a long history of wine making dating back to the seventeenth century and produces a good mix of quality white and red wines. Pinotage (a hybrid of Pinot Noir and Cinsault) is probably the wine varietal most associated with South Africa, for better or worse. However, the cool climates in the coastal regions around Cape Town also produce some great white wines made from varietals like Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. Come to learn more about the history of this great wine region and try some great examples of wines highlighting the quality of what is being produced in South Africa and maybe find your new favorite summer wine. There will be one class time available starting out. Class space is limited. Tickets are $30 per person, which includes a 60 minute wine class and samples.You must purchase a ticket for each wine class you would like to attend. *You MUST be 21-years-old or older, and have a valid ID to attend this class. If you purchase a ticket, and are not 21 or older, or have a valid ID you will not be able to participate is the class, and you will NOT receive a refund. Save paper!
