Artist Maggie Meiners’, “Revisiting Rockwell,” Opening Saturday, May 7 at 7 PM for a three-week-long exhibit at Princeton Public Library
Enjoy an evening of art, history, and community at Princeton Public Library. Opening Saturday, May 7 at 7 PM for a three-week-long exhibit, Illinois native Maggie Meiners’, “Revisiting Rockwell,” provides a fascinating look at America's culture and character from World War II until today.
Her interpretations of Norman Rockwell's famous "Four Freedoms" paintings and other iconic images serve as the foundation for wider discussions of issues important to us all. In the light of history, our lives today reflect very different perspectives and the exhibit, part of The Four Freedoms and Beyond project, provides opportunities to explore how we see ourselves as families, neighbors, and citizens.
Attendees are free to browse the exhibit, and a Q&A with the artist, hors d’oeuvres, and apple pie will follow.
