Please join us for the Georgia STAND-UP Movement Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony! The honor of your presence is respectfully requested for the Ribbon Cutting ceremony at the STAND-UP Movement Center at 11:30 a.m. May 12, 2022. Please arrive by 11:00 a.m. The Center is a business hub and cultural attraction, as well as a monument to the ongoing struggle for freedom, equality, and social justice. It is a safe place where those who work for social change can meet and collaborate, strategize and mobilize, and where residents of the surrounding legacy communities can gather and celebrate. In addition to serving as STAND-UP’s organizational headquarters, the 9,500 sq. ft. Movement Center lies in the heart of Atlanta’s historic southside neighborhoods, offering this vulnerable population a flexible, multi-use facility for hosting events, ceremonies, and celebrations. Its décor of iconographic images from the African American civil rights movement adds a dynamic new venue to Atlanta’s list of unique cultural institutions.
