MARQUEE MADNESS 2022 REDUX 1V1 HOUSE BATTLE & HUSTLE COMPETITION Let's start the summer off right! MARQUEE MADNESS IS BACK! MARQUEE MADNESS 2022 REDUX 1V1 HOUSE BATTLE & HUSTLE COMPETITION One of the newest Bay Area's premiere dance event/competition dedicated to the two dance styles that I am most passionate about, House & Hustle. HOSTED BY: Mark Dulay aka Marquee MAIN EVENT: DATE: Saturday, May 21, 2022 LOCATION: Studio M Ballroom Club TIME: 5pm-11pm ADMISSION: $25 at the door (includes Hustle and House entry) KID-FRIENDLY/ALL AGE EVENT (Kids 12 & under free but please donate what you can to help cover expenses) HOUSE JUDGES: Rama - Embodiment Project/DFF (Winner of MM 2019), Coflo - SourPatch Crew/Soulshifters, Jardy Santiago HUSTLE JUDGES: Veronica Castillo, Stephen Ward, TBA PRELIM FORMAT: House Prelims - Cipher Circle Format - Top 16 will be selected. Top 8 will only be ranked. (Battle guests can participate if they want to be ranked.) Battle Rounds - Ranked top 8 will randomly pick from bottom 8 pool to start tournament style battle rounds. 45 sec rounds each dancer. Final battle 1 min each dancer for 2 rounds each Hustle Prelims - Heat Format - Randomly paired, 4 couples each heat. Top 7 Leads and Follows will be selected. Hustle King & Queen from previous night's social will fill the last spot for Top 8. Battle Rounds - 2 leads and 2 follows drawn randomly by judges. 1 min rounds each couple. Leads switch and start rounds again.
