This event is outdoors - be sure to bring a lawn chair if you want to be guaranteed a place to sit! Doors open at 7:30, show starts at 8:00. ---------------------------------------- Unfit Wives bring hot licks, humorous songwriting, feisty harmonies and a high-spirited performance to every show. Their original songs incorporate honest emotions of Unfit Wives, a name that was birthed with from the band’s drive to question society’s standards for women and live apologetically. Some of their influences include Wanda Jackson, Dolly Parton, Emmy Lou Harris, Patsy Cline, The Dillard’s, Merle Haggard, The Chicks, Bill Monroe, and Split Lip Rayfield. A duo of midwest music veterans, Kansas City songwriter Mikal Shapiro and guitarist Chad Brothers team up to deliver classic country and folk alongside critically acclaimed originals. Strengthened by Shapiro's lyrical prowess and Brothers world-class flatpicking, the couple showcases their craft with close harmonies, intricate guitar work and notable chemistry. They will be joined by internationally acclaimed bassist Johnny Hamil. Unfit wives is Jenna Rae, Kahlen Mitchell, Monica Greenwood, Reagan Zagan, and Shannon O'Shea.
