AVC x Progress on Main Presents: SIP ‘N DRIP with Therapeutic Drips - A colorful fluid art workshop that will relax your mind, body & soul. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or even just a curious soul, no artistic experience is needed for this workshop. Come as you are and explore your creative side with Jenna, a local fluid artist of El Monte. The only requirement is to come with an open mind, ready to explore the unique power of art & creative expression :) In this 2-hour interactive workshop, Jenna will guide you through the mesmerizing & magical flow of acrylic pouring. This freeform art is a fun and easy way to make your own unique masterpiece without boundaries! This is a non-refundable workshop, so please gift your ticket if you can no longer attend. ----- This fun workshop will provide you with everything you need to know about acrylic pouring. Each ticket comes with 1 beer of your choice so you can SIP 'n DRIP away at your masterpiece. Upgrades and Add-On Options: I can seal your masterpiece with resin. Resin will provide a protective & glossy seal from dust, debris and it prevents fading. This is an extra cost of $20. Note: The canvas will need to be fully dry before I can resin. Please allow up 2-weeks for the finished painting. Once ready, I will coordinate for pick up times. I also offer local delivery at no extra cost. Materials & Tools Provided (1) 8×8″ canvases that you will be able to take home for future inspiration!Liquid acrylic paint - Tons of colors to play with!Plastic cups, mixing sticks, and other toolsAfter a quick demonstration from Jenna, she will walk you through the process of prepping, mixing, and pouring. This will include: Tip, tricks, and fun techniques to acrylic pouring such as Flip Cup & Dirty PourA basic lesson on color theory so you can have fun experimenting with color combosHow to create lacing aka cellsNote: Please make sure to wear clothes that you are happy to get a splash of paint on. This is a hands-on painting activity. We will also provide aprons and gloves so even the messiest can stay clean! About the Artist: Jenna is a self-taught fluid artist based in El Monte, CA and founder of Therapeutic Drips. When words were just not enough, acrylic pouring became her safest outlet to creatively express. To freely express as our authentic selves is an act of pure liberation. And with that, art became a vital part to her healing journey. She firmly believes art has the power to heal, inspire, provoke and challenge. Sharing her own struggles with mental health has led her to become passionate about helping others. She is dedicated to creating safe spaces without judgment. Her mission is to make sure no one ever has to struggle silently as she once did.
