DreamChaser's Comedy Night - A Beerly Funny Production *Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.* Beerly Funny is thrilled to partner with The DreamChaser's Brewery to bring stand-up comedy to Waxhaw, NC yet again! Join us for laughs on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Showtime is 7:30 p.m - 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person in advance or $20 the night of the show. OUR COMEDIANS: HEADLINER EMILY WALSH Emily Walsh is a comedian who performs nightly in bars and comedy clubs across New York City. Originally from Boston, MA, Emily moved to New York City after college to pursue her dream of painting scenery for theatre, film and television. She still paints because comedy doesn’t provide health insurance. Emily was recently featured on Kevin Hart’s Lyft Comics on Peacock, and before the pandemic she headlined a sold out Stand Up NY as part of their Headliner Series. She won 1st place in the Comedy Mob Festival at Stand Up NY in 2018, with 200+ comedian submissions, 2nd place in the She Devil Comedy Festival in 2019 at Broadway Comedy Club, and has been named Comic of the Week on Jackie Kashian and Laurie Kilmartin’s podcast the Jackie and Laurie Show. Festival credits include HBO’s Women in Comedy Festival, Gilda’s Laughfest, the Out of Bounds Festival in Austin, and the Cape Fear Comedy Festival, Oak City Comedy Festival, Maine Comedy Festival, and the Rogue Island Comedy Festival in Newport, RI. She cohosts the podcast Alone at Lunch, part of the Morbid podcast network, and she hosts and coproduces a bi-monthly show in the East Village called Keeping It Fresh as well as coproducing a show called Isn’t She Funny every week in Brooklyn. Her mom is very supportive of her comedy, and really wants her to write a tv show called “Lady Seinfeld.” So look out for that. FEATURE DREW LAUSCH Drew Lausch is a Brooklyn-Based comedian, writer, actor, producer, and an “oversharing flirt” (NY Press) originally from Fargo, ND. He recently filmed an episode of MTV’s “Singled Out” and his show “Haus Party,” which he host’s and produces w/ Zach Teague, has been featured in the NY Times, Gothamist, and Time Out NY. Drew Performs Regularly at New York Venues such as Chelsea Music Hall, Public Hotel, Bell House, Union Hall, Stand Up NY, West Side Comedy Club, and more. Drew’s “Easy Confidence and Stage Presence” has been linked to a “Dinner date that’s going really well,” (Theatre Jones) and he has a “Strong, Hilarious, and Provocative point of view,” (Dallas comedy House.) Drew’s debut web series “Sugar Baby” is out on YouTube and you should absolutely watch it if you love fun. HOST + PRODUCER: LAUREN ANSLEY Based in Charlotte, NC, Lauren Ansley is the founder of Lauren Ansley Presents and Beerly Funny. She has been a featured performer in several comedy festivals throughout the Carolinas, named one of the comedians to know by Charlotte Five and was featured in The Charlotte Observer.
