Driver Killed In Crash On I-91 In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A 20-year-old Meriden man was killed in a crash on I-91 late Sunday night in Middletown, according to state police. The crash happened just before midnight on I-91 North, near the Exit 20 on ramp. The driver, identified as Victor Ioanid Moraru, was driving a Honda Accord in the right lane and lost control of the car, went off the road and hit a tree, according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating the crash and ask any witnesses to contact TFC John Wilson at 860-534-1098 or email at [email protected].
