Here are the top three stories in Roanoke today: The Roanoke Hidden Histories Project is raising funds to complete a virtual documentary detailing African American History in the Roanoke region. The volunteer-led effort has gathered $100,000 of its stated $160,000 goal. The Harrison Museum of African American Culture at Center in the Square is helping the group raise funds to complete the documentary and to create a sculpture honoring Henrietta Lacks. (WFIR News Talk Radio)A Roanoke nonprofit called the Foundation for Rehabilitation Equipment and Endowment (FREE Foundation) is helping Roanoke's seniors find medical supplies.
