Giant Cardinal Logo Installed At Cardinal Stadium

GREENWICH, CT — Although the grand reopening of Cardinal Stadium was held last November, some cosmetic touches are still being made. Earlier this week, a giant Cardinal logo was affixed above the bleachers, according to a tweet from the Greenwich Public Schools District. The tweet read: Good bird watching over at GHS today👀🐦 The stadium underwent major renovations over the past couple years. The home bleachers, which had been condemned and closed because of code violations before they were replaced, reopened last fall. Phase 1A included the construction of a press box, elevator, new bathrooms and a team room below the bleachers. Phase 1B included the addition of new lights on existing poles, handicap parking, and an entry kiosk. Phase 2 would include construction of an access road from East Putnam Avenue, but plans haven't been finalized.
