Description

Press release from the Boulder Chamber: April 13, 2022 Margerum M5 Chardonnay- Another gorgeous wine in this range from Doug Margerum. Beautifully layered in the glass, with striking nuance, the 2018 has so much to offer. Bright citrus, orchard fruit and floral notes all meld together in this gracious, delicious white that captures all of the tension and brightness that is such a signature here." 50% Grenache Blanc / 22% Roussanne / 15% Marsanne, 12% Viognier / 1% Picpoul Blanc. Aged on the lees 8 months in neutral French oak Tyee Estate Barrel Select Pinot- Only the best barrels go into this Pinot. Floral, spice and forest aromas, including cedar, herbs, rose, Red Vine candy, pine sap and fresh-turned soil, combine for an intriguing start, while bright but mellow citrusy acid mixes with cherry, savory, woodsy, herbaceous and Indian spiced flavors on the palate. Annick Bachelet Morgon Cru Beaujolais- An open and fruity wine, this has developed well. It brings out ripe red fruits and ripe tannins in a rounded offering of freshness and accessible richness. Drink the wine now. Gundlach Bundschu Mountain Cuvee- A Bordeaux-inspired blend for everyday life that's soft, lush and smooth but never sweet. Dangerously easy-drinking, this Merlot and Cabernet-based red wine offers balance, food-friendly structure and approachability. This press release was produced by the Boulder Chamber.
