MARYLAND — Baseball is back, and Marylanders flocked to the ballpark to welcome the young season. Patch asked readers to send us their favorite baseball photos in honor of opening day. Deborah Margulies submitted this first picture from the Baltimore Orioles' home opener, which was a 2-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on April 11. She attended the game with her husband of 36 years, Robert Margulies (left), and their daughter's boyfriend, Nick Halo (right). Courtesy of Deborah Margulies Rachel Zemel shared this flashback of her family at an Orioles game last July. Courtesy of Rachel Zemel Robin Mayo took the next photo. The picture shows Mayo's grandson, Brayden, at his first baseball game ever. "Brayden is 4 years old with the confidence of an adult," Mayo told Patch in an email. Courtesy of Robin Mayo Readers also shared beautiful nature scenes. Natalie Robinson snapped this shot of the night sky. Courtesy of Natalie Robinson Amy Strzegowski sent in this final photo of her celebrating with a home run ball. Courtesy of Amy Strzegowski That's all for this week's round-up. Keep an eye out for next week's gallery. To participate, email your best picture to [email protected] with the subject line "Photo Of The Week." Participants must also include this statement in their email: "I, [insert name], took this picture, and I give Patch permission to publish it." Don't forget to mention where you snapped the photo and tell us what's in the picture. Please only submit photos that you took personally. Horizontal pictures are preferred. Photos are due every Thursday at noon. We will post a story with a few of our favorites each Monday morning. The next photo round-up will go out on Monday, April 25. Good luck!
