PLEASANTON, CA — Calling all artists and creatives. You have a chance to have your artwork featured on the new library card for Pleasanton Public Library. Imagine seeing your design in the hands of thousands of people. Talk about a keepsake. A design contest for the card is going on now through May 15. Here are the library's guidelines: • Open to Pleasanton residents of all ages• Design to focus on the library's mission statement: "Start Your Journey Here: Discover, Connect, Share" (whether in words, symbols, or art)• Must contain the words "Pleasanton Public Library" in the design.• Use bold and bright colors• Submissions must fit within the dimensions of 6 3/8" x 10 1/8" (final dimensions will be 2 1/8" x 3 3/8") Submit your design and read the copyright requirements here. The deadline is 5:00 p.m. on May 15.
