Arenas is an engineering major. — Krista Arenas Oswego students named to Illinois Wesleyan University dean's list Illinois Wesleyan University's Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2021-22 academic year consisted of 734 students from 28 states and 17 countries. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a GPA of 3.50 or better during the semester, based on 4.0 for straight As. Students who have maintained a 3.70 or higher receive "high honors." Welch was initiated at Western Illinois University. Welch is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction. — Merit Page News
