MALIBU, CA — A person died Thursday when a vehicle crashed down an embankment in the Malibu area. A car went over the side of Kanan Dume Road just north of the state Route 1, Pacific Coast Highway, just before 8 a.m. Thursday morning, according to the city of Malibu. Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally injured person, described only as a male. Traffic was stopped for an investigation Thursday morning but there was no significant traffic on Kanan Dume Road by Thursday afternoon. City News Service contributed to this report.
