Aurora students named to Illinois Wesleyan University dean's list Illinois Wesleyan University's Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2021-22 academic year consisted of 734 students from 28 states and 17 countries. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a GPA of 3.50 or better during the semester, based on 4.0 for straight As. The following local students made the list: Kayla Srinivas Rao of Aurora, IL, a senior majoring in Psychology. Alek Radicevich of Aurora, IL, a senior majoring in Finance. Conor Murphy of Aurora, IL, a junior majoring in Business. Alexander Nathan of Aurora, IL, a sophomore majoring in Finance. Izabella Villatuya of Aurora, IL, a sophomore majoring in Accounting. Kyle Morrissey of Aurora, IL, a first-year majoring in Business. Zack Overstreet of Aurora, IL, a first-year majoring in International and Global Studies. — Merit Page News Student from Aurora inducted into Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi Trisha Sudhakar of Aurora, Illinois, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Sudhakar was initiated at Nova Southeastern University. Sudhakar is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction. — Merit Page News Local college students bring 'Into the Woods' to Baldwin Wallace University stage Students from our area were part of the cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University that, under the direction of Victoria Bussert, produced the Tony Award-winning Stephen Sondheim masterpiece "Into the Woods." The following local students were part of the co-production between the BW Conservatory of Music's music theatre program and the department of theatre and dance: Jake Glowienke of Aurora (60502), a graduate of Metea Valley High School majoring in theatre design and technical studies, served as assistant costume designer and a costume shop foreperson.Audrey Hare of Aurora (60503), a graduate of Benet Academy majoring in music theatre, played the part of Baker's Wife. "Into the Woods" tells the story of a baker and his wife who cannot have a child because of a witch's curse. When they set off on a journey to break the curse, they meet Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival, and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them. "Into the Woods" is one of an extensive number of performance experiences providing real-world opportunities for students at Baldwin Wallace University. Productions include plays, musicals, operas, music concerts and dance concerts. Juarez is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Undergraduate students who have earned a GPA of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.0) for this quarter are on the Honors List. — Merit Page News Milwaukee School of Engineering names Aurora students to dean's list Milwaukee School of Engineering congratulates students named to the Winter Quarter 2022 Dean's List. Undergraduate students who have earned at least 30 credits and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.0) are on the Dean's List.
