FREE kickboxing "open mat" The Burgaw MMA Club is a new project of mine, I moved to the area about five years ago for a promotional opportunity... I was running a Christmas Eve wrestling practice at a local high school where I was introduced to a young man who had been told about my mixed martial arts background by local wrestlers who promptly invited me to his gym where we reached an agreement to establish a 100% free community service open mat for local athletes. My original project the Louisville mixed martial arts Fight Club was established in 1993 after the UFC first aired, we were just a bunch of high school friends who went to the local community center laid down their gymnastics mats and practiced martial arts but when the UFC first aired nobody was interested in kickboxing, Judo and wrestling anymore they just wanted to do MMA so we converted the club to MMA the next day and the rest was history👈
