So many auditions are taking place via self-tape instead of in-the-room. It’s as if actors are being asked to develop a whole new set of skills in order to work. That’s why we’ve gathered a group of knowledgeable representatives to work with you directly to help you get the information and advantage you need to move toward prospering in this changing climate. How was this pilot season different? What does it mean for the rest of the year? This ACTING OF SERVICE Workshop and Showcase is designed to get you directly in front of representatives, in-person, and get you ready for the summer, in which many people hunt for representatives, and ready for episodic season. There will be a 25 minute Group Guided Discussion and Q&A regarding prep for summer’s “agent hunting season” and prep for falls’ episodic season, and the best ways to adapt to the changes in the industry that have resulted due to the pandemic. Each actor will have a solo 8 minute time with the group in which the actor will perform a 2 minute scene of their choosing. They then may receive a redirect from the group, and try the scene again with notes, and/or they will have a brief solo focused Q&A and career/materials advisory session. Each actor will receive a subsequent 15 minute Zoom career and materials strategy session with Talent Manager Jacob Gallagher, to be scheduled for a different day. Actors will receive advice on their scene selection from Jacob Gallagher, and guidance on how to best use their solo time with the group. This is a selective educational showcase. Actors will be screened and Only 18 will be selected from many submissions, based on talent and acting skill as well as to provide a diverse selection of attendees. To participate in this educational showcase & workshop, actors will pay a fee of $260 prior to the event. To submit for participation in this showcase, actors must email their headshot, resume, and reel to our email address - If actor does not have a reel, actor should submit a self-tape of them acting.
