Life-Drawing Session: "Toys of the Great Surrealist!" 6-8:30 $10.00
Events
109 SE Alder St., Portland OR
24 April, 2022
Description
Join us once again on Sunday, April 24th, from 6:00-8:30pm for a Life-Drawing Session at the FARM with model, Roman Louche, inspired by the works of Salvador Dali ! We have set this session at $10.00 ! As gas and everything continues to go up up up, fewer and fewer activities are going to remain as cheap! This is a very inexpensive way to spend a Sunday evening doing what you like to do! Roman will be holding 8 poses on our stage, each pose ranging from :10 - :25 minutes with breaks worked into our set and time at the end for sharing. Props and a custom Avant-Garde Soundtrack will transport you into the world of Dali, and hopefully the world of burning giraffes, vast horizons, and walking telephones will permeate your sketches! *note: our model will be in costume. (This is not a nude-session) And of course bring your favorite art-supplies, keeping in mind that we do not allow oils and harsh chemicals thru the door (they produce harsh vapors). This is a good time to mention that we have a free coffee-bar and a selection of teas. Beer & Alcohol is B.Y.O.B. I love that our group now has its own facility where we can chill to some beats and sketch a model here and there. To keep the FARM running well, we ask guests and members to clean up messes they make and to be respectful of the space we all share. Our club is a safe-space. We welcome ALL skill-levels, Races and Ethnicities, Religions, Countries of Origin, Gender Identities, Sexual Orientations, and spoken-languages. This is a 21 and over event. Tips to the model should go directly to the model! I look forward to drawing with you! Hosted by the Portland Coffee & Sketch Club on Meetup.com. The FARM Arts & Media Center is at 109 SE Alder St. Portland, Oregon 97214. Reply Email to RSVP or RSVP on Meetup! COMING SOON! First Friday from 9am-9pm we will have 3 spaces at the FARM going All Day! Art-Models will be rotating all day long! Bring your sketching-books and supplies, walk in and sit at any model! Sketch the Model + Tip The Model.
