About us: We are a shade sail installation company that specializes in the manufacturing and installation of fabric shade sails. We take on all aspects of production from planning, sewing, installation, and distribution of products to ensure that our clients receive superior quality shade products. We are a small but tight-knit team actively seeking experienced Crew Lead/Installers to lead a 4-person crew on construction projects throughout San Diego County, ensuring timely completion of shade sail installations, updating the Director on progress and planning, communicating with clients, and following best installation and safety practices. The ideal candidates will be experienced team players with high attention to detail and pride in their work craft. Compensation and Benefits: Compensation Starting $25-$35 Hourly Depending on experience Benefits Offered Dental, Medical, Vision Employment Type Full-Time Paid sick and PTO leave Our company culture and values are vital to our success and you must be: - An effective communicator - Positive and solution-oriented - Able to make, accept responsibility for, and address mistakes with a positive attitude - Willing to get involved and get dirty at the job site - Able to pay high attention to detail - Customer Service Oriented Responsibilities: - Work with the installation team and complete any necessary construction tasks to securely install posts and brackets, assemble components, and install fabric shadings. - Provide leadership through project completion, ensuring that quality standards, budget, and timelines are adhered to - Perform all construction tasks per installation guidelines - Maintain and clean up the job site - Direct the work of team members at job site in a professional manner, answering questions and providing instruction as needed - Review and communicate job installation plan with crews - Assist in tracking inventory for each project - Prepare, load, and organize installation vehicles. - Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety - Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment - Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues - Ensure job documentation is completed when job installation is finished - Collaborate with management to plan and supervise the daily activities of the assigned crews - Relay concerns regarding delays and budget to the office and clients promptly and efficiently. - Execute operational goals and drive crew performance to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction; identify and address training needs as required - Promote a safety-first culture and ensure a safe work environment is maintained by adhering to and enforcing all Company safety practices and procedures - Regularly conduct job safety observations (JSO) and vehicle inspections - Adequately document and timely report on the job accidents, injuries, and damage claims - Ensure the crews have the required safety gear, proper tools, and associated training - Interact with customers to answer and direct questions as needed - Handle customer requests and questions via email, text, and phone promptly. - Handle escalated customer concerns and accurately document correspondence Qualification: - Previous experience managing or overseeing the work of others required - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required - You must have at least 5 years of construction experience. - Ability to make multiple trips up and down a ladder, daily - Ability to dig, lift up to 75 pounds, climb, and use hand and power tools. - Ability to work with and oversee installation teams. - You must be a problem solver, with the ability to think outside the box. - You must be willing to work 7:30 am to 4 pm Monday-Friday. - You must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed. - You must be comfortable using tools including but not limited to: drills, hand tools, jackhammers, and operating a bobcat with an auger. - You must have a clean driving record and an active CA Driver's License.
