Description
From the City of Meriden:
November 9, 2020
The Meriden Department of Health and Human Services will be hosting a community flu clinic for residents on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 3:30 – 6:30pm at Maloney High School, 121 Gravel Street. Adult and child vaccines will be given by Public Health Nurses.
Yearly flu vaccination is recommended for anyone over the age of 6 months. Flu season traditionally runs from October to May, with activity usually peaking between December and March. Vaccination is the most effective way to protect yourself, and others, from the flu. Vaccination is very important this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Child doses of the vaccine are FREE for Meriden children 18 and under. For the adult vaccine, the Department accepts Medicare, Medicaid, HUSKY, Aetna, Connecticare and Cigna insurances. If you do not have insurance, the vaccine will be available to you at no cost.
Save time by downloading, printing, and filling out your paperwork (remember to bring it with you!) by visiting www.meridenct.gov or email Elizabeth DeMerchant at [email protected] and the paperwork can be emailed to you.
