Looking for skilled a skilled handyman to join our team! You will assist with remodels and maintenance of multi-family buildings throughout the city of Seattle, including buildings in Queen Anne, Ballard, Fremont, Capitol Hill and Madison Park. Skills Required - Lead and assist with remodels as needed: install drywall, flooring, tile, countertops and other carpentry (door installs, deck building, baseboard and trim install), locksmith work etc... - Maintenance: repair decks, cabinetry, locks, doors, possibly light electrical or plumbing but major work is handled by our licensed staff. - Demolition: Removing, replacing or installing finishing details such as drawer knobs, outlet covers, blinds, window treatments, shelves, closet rods and hooks and bathroom fixtures such as curtain rods, toilet paper holders, towel racks etc… - General labor: Replacing light bulbs and simple appliance parts, this includes bulbs in both residential and common areas: light fixtures, door signals, fire alarms, exit lights, refrigerator, stoves and washing machines. Cleaning and physical labor such as digging and hauling - Knowledge of how to use hand and power tools, reading a measuring tape. - Quality customer service and communication skills. - Knowledge of building codes a plus Qualifications - 2 years experience minimum - Must have own basic tools, more advanced tools will bump you up on our pay scale - Must have a valid driver's license and transportation - Must have a smart phone and be proficient enough with technology in order to use apps to maintain a daily record of work completed - Ability to lift a minimum of 100 lbs and be able to stand for long periods of time, walk up and down stairs on a regular basis - May be asked for evening or weekend availability for after-hours emergencies - or on a rotating schedule with your peers Benefits - We offer competitive pay - Steady full-time hours - Medical and dental - Weekly pay - Paid time off - Bonus pay - Possibility of company vehicle use, gas included - For the motivated and talented, there is room for career advancement!
