Seattle build and remodel firm is hiring now for an hourly entry level laborer/apprentice carpenter/helper. No experience needed. Do you want to learn about architecture and carpentry with opportunity to grow? This is a full-time field apprentice carpentry position at various locations in Seattle. Projects are a mix of new home construction and home remodeling with a focus on high quality workmanship, customer service, and sustainability. Are you ready to apprentice as a carpenter? • Assisting our master carpenters with framing, foundations, cabinet installation, trim carpentry, etc. • Picking up and delivering materials and equipment • Cleaning up and organizing job sites Pay range: $20-$25 per hour plus generous benefits Minimum qualifications • Organized, responsible, reliable, safety conscious, motivated, courteous, good communicator • Interested in carpentry, architecture and design • At least 18 years old • Read/write in English (bonus if you also speak Spanish, Ukranian or Mandrin) • Legally able to work in the United States • Valid Washington State Driver’s License • Reliable vehicle with insurance • Capable of safely lifting 60 pounds, ability to safely work on ladders and/or roofs Employee Benefits and Work Culture We are a small firm, with four field crews of 2 people each.
