The Studios at The Compound Gallery is reviewing applications for studios, benches, and lockers. Get 24/7 access to our amazing equipment, incredible location, and a fantastic professional artist community. We have a few studios available. All artists have 24/7 access to our art facilities in addition to their private studio spaces. We like to think of the Compound Studios as a school without the "school". If you want a real workspace where you can paint, spray paint, weld, throw pottery, screen print, do some woodworking, sew with industrial machines, make posters on letterpresses, use giant etching presses, photograph your work, work out in the sun,... then this place is for you! Read on... We have facilities in metal working, full wood shop, ceramic room (kilns, wheels, slab rollers, extruders, etc.), blacksmithing, screen printing, sewing lab (industrial sewing machines, industrial serger, embroidery machine, etc.), letterpress (8 presses), etching (2 etching presses), photography, 3D printing (7 printers), laser cutting (2 lasers), and more equipment available! Our gallery (thecompoundgallery dot com) is now located in Emeryville where we also have a small community print shop (letterpress, etching, screenprint) opening next door and Compound artists will have the opportunity to work in either or both of our spaces. We have tours planned for our Oakland Studios & Facilities at 1145 65th st. Oakland and our Emeryville print shop at 1339 61st st.
