Light labor - stapling mesh on side of house

Jobs

Oak Brook IL

Description

This is work for TUESDAY April 19, 2020 at 9 am. I have a frame house with vinyl siding. There are some areas with space between the plywood exterior walls and the concrete foundation. This could allow mice into the house. So I want to seal it off. I need someone to staple wire mesh to the outside of the house, onto the plywood exterior walls so 6" of the mesh is above the foundation and 6" of it goes into the dirt or landscaping material. I want to try to go all the way around the house. I have an electric stapler so it is easy to do. Then, put a bead of caulk between the concrete foundation and the wood frame/exterior wall under the siding. If there are big gaps, then we will spray Great Stuff to fill the holes. I can show you how to do this, it is not hard. Easy to do. I have all supplies and work gloves too. Here is the process. 1. Kneel, squat or sit down on the ground. 2. Dig out the dirt or landscaping stuff away froim the wall. (I have a shovel and a hand trowel) 2. Lift up the bottom of the vinyl siding. 3. Push the wire mesh up the side of the wall under the siding. (I have the wire mesh). 4. Staple the mesh onto the wall under the siding. (I have staples and an electric stapler which makes stapling very easy). 5. Seal the gap between the concrete and the wall with caulk or Great Stuff for holes bigger than 1/2 inch. 6. Move the the next section of exterior wall and repeat. This job can easily be done in 3 or 4 hours max, but I am willing to pay up to 6 hours for the job. I am busy with harder projects, so I need help doing this. It may be a little chilly so make sure to dress warm. If you finish the job early I will check your work and you still get paid for 6 hours. So it makes ense to work quickly and efficiently. I will check your work and you have to do it right. I will be present while you do the work if you have any questions. This is not physically demanding and can be done by just about anyone. Some of the areas have bushes and trees, so you do have to work around that. If you can do this TUESDAY April 16, please TEXT me at 312-835-3976. Make sure to TEXT me your name and if you can be here FOR SURE at 9:00 am on Tuesday. If you do a good job I may have some other work for you, too. Please be advised that due to no shows, I will hire 2 or 3 people. The start time is 9 am. Whoever arrives FIRST on time or early (after 8:30 am) will get the job. The person who shows up later will get 10 bucks for their trouble if they are still on time. The person who shows up late will not get the job or the pay. TEXT me "staple" and tell me your name and whether you have ever used a stapler before or done work like this before. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.
