Description
I hate to have to do this but I need help, I'm trying to get my kids out of a domestic situation and I need to rehome our 3 year old hound safely before we can leave.
He's a super sweet boy, his name is Copper and he turns 3 in July. He's got his shots and is fixed. He's part bloodhound part coonhound. He gets along with kids, my youngest is 2 and he's gentle with and cautious around her. He's good around other dogs and is curious about the cats and will sniff them but hasn't hurt any other animals. He's potty trained and I rarely have him on leash when we're out in the yard together, but he sticks his nose to the ground and will wander if you don't keep an eye on him. He sleeps inside at night and I sincerely mean it from the depths of my heart when I say he's a good dog and I hate to have to do this but I want him to be safe above all.
I've reached out to a few shelters and most will not take a dog from out of state or want a fee and I'm already struggling financially at the moment. I just want the best life for him. I can meet in Sandpoint, that's a half-way point for me to Spokane/CDA. I don't think I can afford a trip all the way down there but I'll do what I can in my efforts to find him a safe home.
If you think you can help please reply to this via email as I cannot take any phone calls.
