Funny how you've miraculously regained your cause and effect vision. There was zero cause and effect between Trump, COVID deaths, the economy, and unemployment for years but now cause and effect has suddenly returned. Even when there is no connection. AS STATED PREVIOUSLY: Oil companies lost billions of dollars under Trump's economic collapse. The price of oil was literally BELOW $0 per gallon at times which means they had to pay companies to take it off their hands until they could shut down the well safely. Then two things happened. First, people started to go out in public and back to work more which increased the need for oil AFTER the wells had been shut down. Second, the oil companies decided they needed to get back some of the money that Trump's idiocy cost them so they aren't lowering prices as quickly as they could. LOOK AT THE RECORD PROFITS. US oil companies don't sell everything they produce to just the US. They also sell a lot of oil to foreign countries. So when countries started cutting of Russian oil due to the war, US oil companies picked up a lot of the slack. There is still absolutely no shortage of gas anywhere in the US. Have you seen even one gas station temporarily close because of lack of gas? Have you seen any talk at all of fuel rationing? No and no. Educate yourself. Q: Is there a gas shortage in the United States right now? A: No, there is not a gas shortage in the United States right now. The U.S. has plenty of oil in its reserves, 580 million barrels of crude oil to be exact. "There's no shortage, there's not disruption, there's no shortage at all," De Haan said. De Haan said viewers are likely wondering if the connection to high gas prices is related to when the Colonial Pipeline had production issues in 2021. "Be rest assured, the refineries are operating, everything is fine," De Haan said. "It's just that the price of oil is jumping significantly because Russia is the second-largest global oil producer." Galimberti agreed, saying because the oil industry is globally intertwined, whatever happens in another oil-producing country, such as Russia, can potentially disrupt the entire chain. https://www.wcnc.com/article/news/verify/no-gas-shortage-united-states-russia-ukraine/275-13c4a97f-7863-40de-924d-ef5272242f56
