May 31st- July 29th Portland YouthBuilders is offering a paid 9 week State Certified Pre-Apprenticeship Construction position with hands-on training from top industry professionals. Upon successful completion of the Bridge Program, you will be prepared with: comprehensive understanding of basic construction skills and math blueprint reading overview of the construction process from start to finish and trades involved in the process job readiness skills Bureau of Labor and Industries Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate CPR certificate OSHA safety certificate Green building trainee certificate career coaching and personalized direction for job placement to help you build a bridge to your new career in the union construction trades Getting started at Portland YouthBuilders can lead to direct or preferred entry into Union Apprenticeships and other employment opportunities through our many industry partners. There is a total financial incentive of $4,000.00 distributed over 9 weeks. Low-income, women, and People of color are highly encouraged to apply.
