I’m a male musician in the west valley and would like to meet up and jam maybe get a group together if we all click. Preferably 30 and older but don’t care if you don’t. I’m easy going, dependable and take music seriously but don’t take myself too seriously. I play guitar, bass, and keys. I like all kinds of music, mainly alt/indie- Radiohead, Smiths, Cure, Interpol, Joy Division, strokes, my bloody Valentine, Sigur Rod, Slowdive, beach house, tame impala, beach fossils, khruangbin, Beatles, blue, gorillaz, flaming lips…etc.Experienced drummer here trying to gauge interest. I’m wanting to start a hair metal tribute band as a side project. Get together every other weekend, play some fun tunes and see what happens. I have practice space in Winamac. The Bar'n, a unique music venue in Gallatin Gateway, presents a workshop on "Acoustics of Hollow Body Guitars, by Chris Jenkins, (guitarist and professor emeritus, MSU) The workshop containing numerous demonstrations and examples, will be broken into two parts: Part 1: "Acoustic Fundementals" starting at 6pm., Friday, April 22, 2022 Part 2: "Buying and playing a hollow body guitar" TBD Although there is no charge for this event, please reserve a seat, so we can keep track of attendees. After the workshop, which will last approximately 30 minutes, there will be a music jam, also open to all to come share your love for music, and your talent. You can be on stage, of if you're feeling a bit shy, just find a cozy table to play along. email any questions, or to RVSP. Bring your own beverage. The Bar'n is equipped with a kitchen, stage, spotlights, sound system, in a 1860's setting. This will be the start of many future workshops and jams held in the Bar'n. We have been playing Country, Rock and Pop dance music at venues, street dances, county fairs and weddings for the past 9 years. We are looking to replace one member, as she is leaving the band in May on good terms. We play 2-5 times a month, sometimes more in the summertime. We are looking for a female singer with experience and stage presence, able to sing lead and harmonies well. Thank you!
