CRANFORD AND WESTFIELD, NJ — Mobile Meals of Westfield needs volunteer drivers to deliver prepared meals to their clients in Cranford, they said. Mobile Meals is a non-profit organization that provides meals to people who are unable to provide meals for themselves in Clark, Cranford, Fanwood, Garwood, Mountainside, Scotch Plains and Westfield. The organization provides hot, nutritious lunches and dinners to approximately 50 needy people each day. The organization has no restrictions on who they can serve and receive no federal funding. Coronavirus impact On June 29, Mobile Meals of Westfield re-opened after the Corona Virus statewide shutdown. Following state and CDC guidelines for safety, Mobile Meals resumed providing lunches and dinners for those unable to provide meals for themselves. Delivery was through coolers at client homes rather than face-to-face.
