Hey drummer guy or girl searching CL looking for the right fit. We are looking for a drummer for our part-time rock band. The right person is just as important as the drumming. We are a group of mid-lifers looking to rock up some bars now and then. All set with 2 guitars, bass and singer. We had a drummer for a few months, but it just did not work out. That's where the right person comes in. We are not starting from scratch, but we are still in the building stage, so if you are looking to walk into a ready made situation, then we would not be a match. Looking for a drummer to build this with, not a hired gun. Although sounding tight is important, and it is, we all have careers and families and this is just for fun. This is not an every weekend thing and we do not want it to be. Also, if you are already in a band or two or three and looking to add another, then we are definitely not the band for you either. We have been putting together a good mix of rock covers, some with our own twist and looking build on that and play out. It is a mix of known and not so worn out rock covers from the 70s - now. We practice about 2x a month for now and looking to play out about 6 times a year starting at local bars. We plan to start with some open mics as we build the set-list, then open and then our own shows. We all live and practice in DuPage. Fun is the main goal, but you need to be able to make scheduled practices (mostly weekends) and show up knowing your part. If you can sing as well, even a bigger bonus. Sorry, but any single sentence replies that just ask for our playlist makes us think you are just responding to every drummer ad and did not really pay that much attention to what we are looking for in a drummer.
