The function of the Shop Assistant is to provide support for Westcoast Painting at our main office and in the field. Your primary responsibilities will be to ensure that our field operations are supported and provided with the materials, tools, sundries and equipment necessary to complete their work. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: FIELD SUPPORT • Ability to load and drive company vehicles as needed. • Deliver tools, equipment, sundries and materials to job sites. • Mobe/Demobe jobsites as necessary. SHOP SUPPORT • Take phone orders from foremen and superintendent. • Log Orders and pull them for project. • Check in and out equipment and tools. FLEET/EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE • Change oil and provide minor service to fleet vehicles. • Service pumps, pressure washers and other equipment. OTHER BASIC REQUIREMENTS/FUNCTIONS: • Good driving record. • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. • Ability to be self-motivated. • Ability to work in a team environment.
