General Purpose of Role Sets up, operates & maintains large format machines including but not limited to roll, sheet, cutting and laminator to produce and manufacture digital print. Essential Functions | Duties - Sort, prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner - Produce customer’s orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining quality standards - Attention to quality in materials, print and packaging - Troubleshooting - Work on multiple projects simultaneously - Move jobs to proper locations within PrintSmith Vision - Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary - Basic knowledge and ability to perform bindery functions - Adhere to redo and waste reduction standards through quality checks - Request/Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and supplies to efficiently and appropriately operate machines - Update Flatbed equipment logs - Maintain an orderly and efficient workspace - Demonstrate proficiency with the Command Workstation(when applicable) to control digital workflow Education | Experience | Qualifications - Average mechanical skills - High School Diploma Skills & Abilities The skills described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. - Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos - Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions - Ability to deal with problems and troubleshoot - Ability to organize multiple functions and jobs simultaneously in a high volume fast paced environment - Knowledge of Internet software, order processing systems, Project Management software, and Word Processing software Work Environment / Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
