WHEATON, MD — It may not feel like summer. But now is the time to start thinking about where and how to enroll your kid in summer camp.
On Jan. 25, Montgomery County Recreation will be hosting a free Summer Camp Fair at the Wheaton Community Recreation Center. At the the event, which runs from 9 a.m. to noon, parents can meet with recreation camp staff, participate in demonstrations, learn about financial aid options, and register their children for camp.
"Montgomery County Recreation is proud to once again be hosting a summer camp fair," said Montgomery County Recreation Director Robin Riley. "This is a great opportunity to meet our instructors and learn about our great lineup of summer camps."
The Summer Camp Fair will have fun activities for the family, free raffles, and giveaways. Montgomery County Recreation's mascot, T-Rec, will also be making an appearance.
There are hundreds of summer camp programs to choose from. Kids can enroll in arts, dance, music, STEM, sports, cooking, and even junior business camps. Click here to view an online copy of the summer camp guide. Print copies of the guide are available at aquatic, senior, and community recreation centers.
