Learn how to make an easy, sustainable cleaning or beauty product that has ingredients you can trust and products you'll be happy to use. We're learning to make you own green products! Each month, you'll learn how to make an easy, sustainable cleaning or beauty product that will have ingredients you can trust and products you'll be happy to use. We'll also be discussing why we're moving towards green products, how the ingredients work, if there are any safety concerns about them, and how making these small changes can help the world. The library is partnering with Lisa Uglialoro, a member of GreenUp Ashland, to bring this program to you. This month, we'll all be smelling as pretty as a springtime flower as we make our own solid perfume! Making your own solid perfume is a great way to keep additional chemicals off your skin and out of the environment as you create your own signature scent. In addition to being safer for you and the Earth, solid perfume can save money and save you from the frustration that occurs when a bottle of your favorite scent ends up spilled all over the bottom of you bag. This program has limited space and registration is required. If the class does not fill up, we may allow for walk-ins. If you register and sign up for one of these classes and are unable to attend, we request you cancel your reservation at least 4 hours prior to the start of class. This will allow us to offer your seat to someone on the wait list. Multiple violations of this policy can result in restricted access to register for future classes.
