Huttig Building Products Warehouse Receiver FULL-TIME $18/hr 25 Lehoux Dr, Hooksett, NH 03106 POSITION OVERVIEW Supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Oversees the receiving and recording of data to include: stock items, customer orders and work orders to ensure timely and effective record keeping. • Monitors the process of packing and unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. • Oversees the verification of inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. • Organizes the proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. • Monitors the management of the records on the use and /or damage of stock or stock handling equipment. • Oversees the examination and inspection of stock items for wear or defects. • Provides direction to stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES — Manages one or more employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE — High School Diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.); or one to two years related experience and/or training. OTHER SKILLS/CERTIFICATION — Must be forklift certified. LANGUAGE SKILLS — Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence; and effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS — Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American Money and Weight Measurements, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY— Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
