Join us as we tour Harry Potter: The Exhibition at the Franklin Institute We will be met by Abby Bysshe VP, Experiences and Business Development at The Franklin Institute who will provide us some insight as to how the exhibition got to Philadelphia and the logistics behind installing it. Following this brief introduction from Abby, you will be free to enjoy the exhibit -- your SEGD ticket will cover the cost of admission to the exhibit. Following the exhibit, we will meet at a local bar for some drinks and mingling. This event is open to members and non-members, tickets are limited and will sell out quickly... you will not want to miss this one!  Wednesday, May 4th 5:30-5:45pm: Gather 5:45-6:00pm: Introduction by Abby Bysshe 6:00pm-7:00pm: Enjoy the Exhibition 7:30pm: Drinks and Mingling, Location TBD More about the Exhibition This groundbreaking exhibition will celebrate the iconic moments, characters, settings, and beasts as seen in the films and stories of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World using best-in-class immersive design and technology. From the mysteries of Hogwarts™ castle to the antics of its mischievous yet brilliant students; from daring duels to dragons and Dark Arts; from glittering Gringotts™ to the magnificent Ministry of Magic - the exhibition will bring magic to life, connect visitors with the larger global community of fans of the Wizarding World, and reveal the artistry and craftsmanship behind the blockbuster films. Visitors will get an up-close look at authentic props and original costumes from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts™ films as they engage with innovative, awe-inspiring, and magical environments and installations in this: the most comprehensive touring exhibition ever presented about the Wizarding World. Covid Precautions Please note that as of Monday, April 18, masks are required for vaccinated and unvaccinated guests ages three and over, per the reinstated mandate from the City of Philadelphia. Masks may be removed while dining in our cafeteria (The Eatery) or group lunchrooms. Proof of vaccination is not required at this time. The Franklin Institute will continue to follow all City of Philadelphia COVID-19 guidelines. If the mandate changes, we will contact you again with further details.
