Join I Love a Clean San Diego and Friends of Chollas Creek at Chollas Creek for the 20th Annual Creek to Bay Cleanup! Join I Love A Clean San Diego and Friends of Chollas Creek at Chollas Creek to be a part of the largest Earth Week cleanup in all of San Diego county! The 20th Annual Creek to Bay Cleanup Day is on Saturday, April 23, 2022.A site captain will have check-in ready for you at the first trailhead, in between the freeway and the first baseball diamond of Sunshine Park. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes, closed-toed shoes, some form of sun protection (sunscreen or a hat) and bring a water bottle or two! The site captain(s) will be providing everything else you will need but you could get your own Zero Waste Cleanup Kit as a gift for your donation of $30 to I Love A Clean San Diego! After a short presentation on safety and recycling right you will be sent off to remove litter from the Pueblo watershed! The site captain(s) will be in charge of sorting and disposing of the collected litter and after the cleanup you can request community service verification in your Community Hub dashboard. You can register as a family, household group, or as an individual. As you register, you have the option to add Group Information so that everyone does not have to register separately. Volunteers of all ages are invited to grab buckets and work gloves and make a difference! IMPORTANT NOTE: This event requires a signed release-of-liability waiver for all volunteers, and anyone under 18 needs a waiver signed by a guardian. We will have waivers at check-in for volunteers. If you are under 18 please have your guardian check-in with us at the cleanup to sign-off on your participation.
