Our shop is certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction for buildings, simple bridges, and major bridges. We specialize in multiple markets from conveyors, specialized mining equipment to penstocks. Schedule: Monday to Friday Shift availability: Day Shift 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Benefits: Paid time off and Full Insurance Available Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional on the interior and exterior. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Overall duties will include cleaning, sanitizing, maintaining common room areas, trash removal, restocking bathrooms, mopping, sweeping in shop work area, rolling up cords and responding to all cleaning emergencies. Handy-man skills are required in multiple areas. The successful candidate will be highly organized, dedicated, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously. You will work with management to create an effective cleaning schedule, which will include your day-to-day routines and work timetable. Essential Responsibilities: • Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal etc. • Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, painting, toilets etc. • Install appliances and equipment • Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, weeding, collecting trash, shoveling, plowing • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, air filters or as needed • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation) • Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm, fire extinguisher inspection and other safety equipment as needed) • Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations • 5-S organization and cleaning • Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Competencies: • Proven experience as maintenance worker or other similar position • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems • Experience using hand and electrical tools • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings • Very good communication and interpersonal skills • Physical stamina and dexterity • Ability to independently problem solve and trouble shoot • Ability to work independently Physical Requirements/Work Environments: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
