Deputies Locate Car Of Missing Tampa Woman Found Dead In Lacoochee

TAMPA, FL — Deputies have located the white 2008 Nissan Altima belonging to a missing Tampa mother who was found dead in Lacoochee March 24. The car was discovered Wednesday in Hillsborough County and is being inspected by forensic investigators seeking clues in the death of Teneisha Griffith, 27, of Tampa. Griffith was reported missing to the Tampa Police Department by her family. Griffith, the mother of a 12-year-old daughter, was last heard from on March 19, Her body was discovered March 24 around 1:30 p.m. at Lacoochee Claysink Road and State Road 575 in northeast Pasco County but investigators were unable to find her car until Wednesday. Investigators are still waiting for the medical examiner to issue a cause of death. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information.
