Hi, I'm a professional freelance photographer here in SF looking to build a portfolio of documentary work. There is no posing involved. I would be there to get to know the person(s), listen, observe and photograph in a respectful and unobtrusive manner. My goal is to create long-form visual stories, like photo essays, about people or groups in the Bay Area. Depending on the subject this may also include audio of the subject on top of the images in a slideshow form. Photography is a powerful tool to use in telling stories if done well, which I aim to do. All people in the photos will receive copies of the digital files. If not your own story/life, perhaps you can think of someone you know who has an impact on your life or the community? It doesn't matter how "small" the story may appear on the surface. Thank you so much!
