Position Responsibilities: Lead carpenter is completely responsible for the successful completion of jobs which includes on time, on budget, and maintaining a high level of quality, safety, and professional communication. Complete daily reports of job progress. Conduct job status meetings w/crew & homeowners, read blueprints, provide training for proper use of tools, ensure work order completion & assessment. Establish relationships & manage conflict resolution with all involved. Measure job sites to order materials needed for projects ranging from remodels, home addition- such as sunrooms, porches, garages, decks, basement remodels, kitchens, and bathrooms. Help with accurate ordering of cabinets, windows, doors, and trim. Schedule and Assign tasks to field employees. Schedule & manage trade contractors. Carpenters work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in tight spaces and must be able to adapt to conditions and circumstances. They work with various hand tools and must keep their tools and worksite in a clean, safe condition. The Lead Carpenter needs to deal with customer requests and questions in a polite and business-like manner.
