This is an opportunity to introduce the 1000 Families of Color program to the community. 1000 Families of Color, Inc is a non-profit 501© 3 based in Grand Rapids Michigan What This program is a 3 year pilot project led by local nonprofit 1000 Families of Color Inc based in West Michigan. The concept for the program was the vision of local REALTORS who desire to serve as CONNECTORS to the many educational opportunities and financial resources available and offered by community stakeholders/collaborators. This group will include local REALTORS, lenders, local churches, local nonprofits, and other professional service providers. Who Targeted program participants will include residents of Kent, Ottawa, and Muskegon counties. We expect that many will be historically marginalized and economically disadvantaged and will include first time homebuyers, residents of low-to-moderate income census tracts, consumers with limited English proficiency and existing homeowners who need assistance with refinance options or with obtaining home improvement loans and services. Our Vision: As a result of participating in the 1000 FOC Program participants will build legacies of wealth for their children’s children.
