Pedestrian Seriously Injured From Hit-And-Run: Stamford Police

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford police are investigating a hit-and-run from Wednesday night that left a 52-year-old city resident seriously injured. According to Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad (CARS) Supervisor Sgt. Jeffrey Booth, the incident occurred at approximately 7:59 p.m. Wednesday. A pedestrian was crossing Tresser Boulevard walking northbound when he was struck by a gray Acura that was traveling westbound on Tresser. The Acura fled the scene, Booth said, and the pedestrian was taken to Stamford Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Acura was located a short time later by offices near the scene of the collision. The license plates were removed, and the driver wasn't located, Booth said. Anyone with more information on the incident is being asked to call the SPD at 203-977-4712. Booth and officer Lindsey Yanicky are leading the investigation.
